Three movies trailers to keep your eye on…
I am a fan of the exclusive funnyman frat that consists of Seth Rogen, Judd Apatow, Jonah Hill and company. But I don’t think Filipino American fashion columnists are their core audience. Nonetheless, I hope that we don’t get oversaturated wit their presence. I love them, but it is possible to overdose on a good thing. And even though frat boys all across the nation will be popping boners over this weed-infused movie, do we really need another “puff puff give” movie? I know it will be funny – and how can you not like the title: The Pineapple Express
Ummm. I saw the trailer for the first time while watching America’s Best Dance Crew. I lost interest immediately – and not because Jessica Alba popped up on the screen, but I think I have outgrown Mike Myers caricatures.
The hat! The whip! The leather jacket worn in all climates! Indy (a.k.a. Harrison Ford) is back! With Shia LaBeouf! There is just something about that swashbuckling theme music that tugs and my adventurous heart strings. And there’s something about Cate Blanchett as a domineering Soviet agent in a fierce wig with straight-cut china doll bangs that turns me on.
