Why I hate ‘The Hills’
Aug 4th, 2008 by dino-ray

I got my latest issue of Entertainment Weekly and lo and behold, that gal from “The Hills” is on the cover. As soon as I saw that shit, I nearly vomited.
Nonetheless, I gave my favorite entertainment magazine the benefit of the doubt and opened my mind to reading the article on her.
By the time I got to the third paragraph, I was utterly pissed off and I wanted to throw the magazine into a flaming barrel.
I think Kathy Griffin best explained “The Hills” with this quote:
I have anger toward The Hills. They represent everything that tortures me in my life and in show business – which is beautiful, young skinny girls who have the world handed to them on a platter and now have a clothing line.
Amazingly, this quote was in an interview that Kathy did with Entertainment Weekly.
I have this aversion to any show after 90210 that involves rich over privileged white kids. What the hell has Lauren Conrad or any of those other hos done for society besides be rich and have their own TV show? What makes them worthy enough of having a popular TV show? More than that, what makes people watch them? What do they contribute to society besides shallowness and materialism? There are so many talented people out there in the world and they get eclipsed by this shit.
I can’t believe this is making me this mad. Is it that serious?
Yes. It is.
