Am I just really ahead of GQ?

So in this month’s issue of GQ, I saw a piece on Janelle Monae. They are just NOW putting a piece on the funkatronic R&B artist whereas I wrote something on her back in May (click here, here and here for proof) AND I was listening to her before that.
I just wanted to take this moment to gloat and to complain about the fact that it seems like things aren’t cool unless magazines like GQ or Vogue say they are. Plus I am just bitter that I pitched this to them months ago and they never responded.
Ugh. This does not bode well for my opinion about the “industry.”
