I want to be a vampire

So I finally jumped on the Twilight bandwagon and I am not getting off. (haha…I said, “getting off”). After plowing through Stephenie Meyer’s book in four days, I am hypnotized by this young adult delicacy.
Sure, the writing may not be the most high brow, but it is addicting. It’s so addicting that I want to be a member of the Cullen family. I want to be a vampire - mainly because they can smoke and never die.

Everyone is tired of hearing me go on and on about how I am obsessed with this novel. Besides that, I am really intrigued with the vampire fad that’s running through pop culture’s matrix. There’s this and that one show True Blood on HBO. Is there anything else I am missing?
Do you think this is just a redux of that moment of time when Interview with a Vampire was hot shit? Or has this vampire craze just been flowing steadily under the pop culture radar?
In any matter, reading this book has made me realize that vampires are stylish, calm, cool and sleek. AND Edward (the book’s main vampire) apparently has an AMAZING body. And who wouldn’t want that? Furthermore, everyone in the Cullen clan is hot!
Then there’s the film that’s coming out in November - check out the trailer…
Hmmmm. They are selling it more like a thrilling vampire movie rather than a love story. There’s nothing wrong with that, but after watching some footage of the movie and behind-the-scenes clips, there are things that aren’t exactly aligning with the Twilight that was playing in my head while I was reading the book. But hey - the book will always be better. I’m still excited.
And P.S. Edward Cullen was known as Cedric Diggory before he became a vampire. He must’ve found afterlife after he died in that maze challenge at Hogwart’s.
