Guess who I met tonight?

Yes, that’s right - I met Mr. Vogue Editor-at-Large, Andre Leon Tally. He was at this Halston Retrospective at the Neiman’s in San Francisco tonight. He was very kind and when Cheryl (my colleague and boss at Academy of Art University) and I met him, he immediately knew what dress she was wearing and we passed him a copy of our magazine! AND he seemed impressed that we were fashion journalism instructors! AND he even commented on my copious note taking on the pieces presented at the retrospective!
What a fancy night!
Okay, I have to be up early - I’ll have more on the event later!
there’s a difference between dandy and looking like a woman
and ALT has yet to figure out the difference.
I met him once at a Gucci Halloween party where it was all very Eye’s Wide Shut. So we all had black masks on as the crowd guzzled copious amounts of alcohol while we dining on white truffle pasta. ALT entered through a side entrance and I noticed he didn’t have a mask to don. I looked over to him and politely said ‘Here’s a mask if you’d like partake in the festivities’…
his reply, ‘I don’t wear masks, i want people to see my face!’
