…Miley Cyrus pulled her eyelids back to look like an Asian caricature.
People are offended, obviously. Asian American group OCA (we’re guessing it stood for “Organization of Chinese Americans” at one point?) made a statement to TMZ:
…Not only has Miley Cyrus and the other individuals in the photograph encouraged and legitimized the taunting and mocking of people of Asian descent, she has also insulted her many Asian Pacific American fans… The inclusion of an Asian Pacific American individual in the photo does not make it acceptable. Miley has always annoyed me, mainly because she’s like 10-years-old and makes a billion more dollars a year than I do. My days of a militant Filipino are long gone, but when things like this happen I just get disappointed. This just gives me even more reason to despise her. Then again, she’s just a teenager – and the majority of the teenage community annoys me whether they make fun of Asians or not.
In this case, Miley is just being ignorant. How could she not know that these pics were going to end up on the Internet? I guess this makes it okay for me to put some false horse teeth in my mouth and make myself look like a Miley Cyrus caricature.
You are a great role model Miley. Your achy breaky dad must be proud. Just make another million and all this will be swept under the rug like all the other questionable things you have done. Keep up the good work.
