Should I be pissed at Miley Cyrus?

Well, of course I should be – check out this story from the peeps at Gawker:
…Miley Cyrus pulled her eyelids back to look like an Asian caricature.
People are offended, obviously. Asian American group OCA (we’re guessing it stood for “Organization of Chinese Americans” at one point?) made a statement to TMZ:
…Not only has Miley Cyrus and the other individuals in the photograph encouraged and legitimized the taunting and mocking of people of Asian descent, she has also insulted her many Asian Pacific American fans… The inclusion of an Asian Pacific American individual in the photo does not make it acceptable. Miley has always annoyed me, mainly because she’s like 10-years-old and makes a billion more dollars a year than I do. My days of a militant Filipino are long gone, but when things like this happen I just get disappointed. This just gives me even more reason to despise her. Then again, she’s just a teenager – and the majority of the teenage community annoys me whether they make fun of Asians or not.
In this case, Miley is just being ignorant. How could she not know that these pics were going to end up on the Internet? I guess this makes it okay for me to put some false horse teeth in my mouth and make myself look like a Miley Cyrus caricature.
You are a great role model Miley. Your achy breaky dad must be proud. Just make another million and all this will be swept under the rug like all the other questionable things you have done. Keep up the good work.
well,at first i was..but looking at the pics it seems that miley was not aware that there are paparazzi taking pics while she was having fun changing clothes…next time you have to take care of your self more…just keep up the good work…
Don’t let the idiots bother you. She’s obviously learned that from somewhere, likely her ignorant redneck father – I have yet to meet a person in the US who likes country music that is sensitive to Asian American issues. Is it really worth your energy, though, to worry about this?
omg lol calm down!~ who hasnt done that with their eyes? i mean its like calling Obama black. its not meaant to insult or be rasict, its just stating a fact. But seriously, are half the things you guys talk about worth gossiping about? just leave miley alone, she hasnt done anything wrong and she’ll eventually grow up. Maybe she wont be what you want her to be, but why does she have to try to impress you? its not like you guys give a crap about what othters think so why should she??? you rock miley!! Just please dont let bad influences get to your head!!
