Morgan Freeman, Cary Grant, Katharine Hepburn, and…Jackie Chan?
While venturing out into the East Bay last night, I passed by Century Theatres in downtown Hayward and this is what I saw on the side of the building:
Yes, Chan is an icon in cinema – but he’s a different kind of icon compared to Hepburn and Grant (you can’t see his poster in the pic above). This is as odd as saying “jeans jacket.”
It’s like the people designing the outside of the movie theater said, “Let’s try to make the side of our building really awkward and random by putting a poster of Katharine Hepburn next to Jackie Chan! That’ll fuck everybody up!”
At least it’s showing cinematic diversity.
