From the moment I saw her in Center Stage, there was something about Zoe Saldana that pulled me into her orbit. She was sassy. She was authoritative. And most of all she was hot.
Further down the road, I saw her in Drumline, The Terminal, Pirates of the Caribbean: the Curse of the Black Pearl, Guess Who? and Vantage Point – some roles were bigger than others but little did I know, I was subconsciously developing a crush on her.
Then J.J. Abrams did his redux of Star Trek and my crush was cemented. Her slender nymph-like ballerina build (she is a classically trained dancer), her wing-tipped eyes and her fiery charm made me want to marry her. Okay, not really – but she is the only reason why I want to go see Avatar. Even if she is CGI’d into this weird-looking cat/salamander concotion.
Next up for Miss Saldana is The Losers, an action flick based on the graphic novel as well as the sexy crime movie, Takers. And don’t worry, she’s signed to do the Star Trek sequel as well.
