This is news that I is kind of relevant (a.k.a. filler on my blog)
Isaac Mizrahi probably went to the same “fashion designers can be directors” school as Tom Ford because he’s going to “direct and design a production of the Stephen Sondheim-Hugh Wheeler tuner “A Little Night Music” at Opera Theater of St. Louis in June.”

Apparently Mizrahi isn’t a stranger to Broadway productions. He’s designed costumes for productions including The Threepenny Opera.
Designing costumes is one thing – taking on a whole play? That’s another. Did Ford really start a designer-turned-director trend that we are going to regret? Will this be the Broadway equivalent to the Lohan-Ungaro chronicles of last year?
Let’s hope not.
