Over the weekend I knocked out two more Oscar buzz movies off my list!
The Tolstoyan drama The Last Station had me in its orbit as soon as I saw Helen Mirren. Actually, it had me as soon as she said the word “cock”. As for A Serious Man – it was so Coen brother-y; meaning, it totally flew over my head, but I enjoyed it because it did so.
With A Serious Man crossed off my list, I have officially watched all 10 movies nominated for best picture! What an accomplishment! I feel like I can do anything now. On second thought, does my excitement for this sort of thing make my life unbelievable dorky and sad?
