Out of all the pop princesses produced in the Golden Age of the Late ’90s/Early 21st Century Pop, Christina Aguilera shall forever have a special place in my heart. She has always rubbed me the right way.
That said, I am quite excited that the little body with the huge voice is slinking her way back into the pop cultural zeitgeist with her latest single, “Not Myself Tonight” — and lucky for us, the video has just hit the net:
It’s like a sado-glamochistic version of Gaga, but , isn’t everyone going for this crazy-ass spacey/gothy/fetishized/exaggerated features/obnoxiously over-styled look these days?
She may echo Gaga, but she has a lot more singing talent. A lot more.
