Remember in the late ’90s and early ’00s when there would be like 50 rappers on one track (whether it be remixed or not)? When everyone would take a verse? It would get so confusing that you had no idea who was the sole proprietor of the song. I’m talking about songs like the “Ruff Ryders Anthem” (the DJ Clue remix complete with the repetitive “DJ CLUE!” shout outs ) or “Ladies Night” featuring Angie Martinez, Left Eye, Lil Kim, Da Brat and Missy Elliott. For an even clearer picture just reference any No Limit Soldier song. There was even a point in time where I was more concerned with who made appearances on the track rather than the actual artist of the song.

I think those times are upon us again.

I want to draw your attention to the remix of Ludacris‘s remix of “My Chick Bad” — which is currently my jam right now (because I am, indeed, a bad chick). I am diggin’ the original version with Nicki Minaj, but this “Pussy Rules the World Version” on his “Battle of the Sexes” album features Diamond, Trina and Eve. It reminds me of those enjoyably crowded tracks from back in the day. It also has me doing body rolls while I brush my teeth in the morning.
