Yesterday, while doing my hourly Twitter feed troll, I came across at least five stories about January Jones‘s turn as Emma Frost in “X-Men: First Class”.

The majority of the sites linked to an article from the Los Angeles Times. It mostly talked about the sexiness of the costumes — which is the MOST important part of Emma Frost:

“The costumes are insane,” Jones added. “It’s a lot of very body-conscious stuff. If you look at the comic book, she’s barely dressed. She’s got quite the bod, which is very intimidating.”

Yes. I do think that furry muff hats are very body conscious.

She also talked about how different her “Mad Men” role of Betty Draper is vastly different from her new X-Men character.

“When I heard that this installment of ‘X-Men’ was gonna take place in the ’60s I was like, ‘Oh my God, you must be kidding me!’” Jones said. “But I read the script and familiarized myself with the character of Emma Frost. She’s so, so far from Betty and from ‘Mad Men,’ and it takes place in that time but it doesn’t feel like a period movie.”

That’s good and all, but I think the Facebook conversation I had with my friend Len was much more accurate:
