Whilst watching The Voice, the mere presence of Adam Levine made me flashback to my time in Austin — particularly a balmy evening at Stubb’s on October 5, 2003.

The lineup that evening included Gavin DeGraw, Marc Broussard, and Maroon 5 — a band that I barely knew about at the time. I wasn’t really cool enough. I casually listened to their music, but after hearing them live, I was pretty much an automatic fan. (Sidenote: cover that evening was — if I remember right — only $15. Crazy huh? Now they are selling out arenas.)

I was sifting through my pictorial archives and found these treasures taken with my very first digital camera (which was the size of an adobe brick, took 5 minutes to load up and had the battery life of a gnat).

Would these pictures be considered retro?
