I don’t watch MTV anymore…but if they bring back Singled Out or Lip Service or Remote Control, I might reconsider.
Actually, I might partake in this year’s MTV Video Music Awards, which is sure to be a high octane, Photoshopped, flashy, awkward, over-produced and full of it’s-supposed-to-be-funny-but-not humor — BUT there will be a Britney Spears tribute, which is kind of exciting. What would be more exciting is if this set list (that I found in my Twitter feed via @littleylittley) is true:
It would be quite phenomenal, cool, and in a weird way, humiliating to see Janet Jackson pay tribute to Brit. It would be an equivalent of seeing Leonardo DiCaprio give a fist bump to Zac Efron.
…but whatever. I am not going to lie to myself. A Brit tribute may be worthwhile:
Don’t let us down MTV. Then again, you ARE MTV…and I think I read a headline that said “Britney Spears VMA Promo: A Tribute to Greatness”. Really? Are all those words can be used in the same sentence without ripping a hole in the space time continuum?
