For some odd reason, every time Jimmy Fallon does something on TV, it looks like he is always having more fun than the rest of the world. His hosting gig on Saturday Night Live wasn’t an exception and he didn’t break character once! (As far as I noticed.)

His hosting gig was a homecoming for Mr. Fallon as he was a cast member of the sketch comedy clan. He brought back some of his old characters such as the Bostonian droogs Sully and Denise. The latter character originally played by fellow SNL alum Rachel Dratch was just the beginning of a cameo-jaculation of other alums including Tina Fey who partnered with Fallon in a tag-team Weekend Update joke-off against Seth Meyers and alum Amy Poehler. Horatio Sanz, Chris Kattan, and Tracy Morgan also joined Fallon for a little “Christmas Treat”.

It turns out that Fallon’s gig gave SNL it’s highest rating of the season. Or maybe it was because of this:

SNL is on to something. The perfect formula to get high ratings is to just do away with the “celebrity host” and fit in as many SNL alums as possible…but just the good ones.
