Adapted from the comic book series by Robert Kirkman, The Walking Dead is kind of like Lost but instead of a mysterious island, there are zombies. Lots of zombies.
My commitment to the show about a sweaty oddball group of survivors led by Dr. Jack Shephard-equivalent Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) in a zombie apocalypse is another thrilling hour of television brought to you by the commune of elaborate, high-brow programming known as AMC. Although I enjoy the mythology of the stellar cast of characters, I revel in the blood splattering gore, the rotting flesh, the “WTF” moments, and most of all, I wait in anticipation for the next time Glenn (Steven Yeun boinks the farmer’s daughter.
