I remember going to the Television Critics Association (a.k.a. TCA) Press Tour a long time ago. I think it was in 2007. All I remember was that Lost was still all the rage and America Ferrera won the Golden Globe for her role in Ugly Betty. I also remember it was the time when I had a long conversation with Jonathan Adler about home interior style. Then there was the moment when I was standing in a breakfast buffet line right behind Desmond (Henry Ian Cusick) from Lost. I stared at him with my mouth open while he scooped scrambled eggs on to his plate. The ultimate moment was when I washed my hands right next to Jamie Foxx in the men’s restroom. I tried my best not to do my Wanda impression.

I was working at The Oakland Tribune at the time and I remember incessantly blogging and reporting about the events of each day. Since then, they have taken my blog posts down so they are lost in cyberspace forever. *sigh*

Nonetheless, the TCA Winter 2012 Press Tour is happening as we speak and news is flooding my Twitter and Facebook timeline. That said, I have filtered out the pieces of news that are worth talking about (or ridiculing):

  • HELL YEAH! A+E is developing a Bonnie and Clyde miniseries. They are the swaggiest bank robbing couple in pop history. Ever. Perhaps they will make it a “hip-hopera” and cast Beyonce and Jay-Z. [TVLine]
  • All you 24-o-philes will be happy that they will shoot the movie for the popular TV show soon. Mr Sutherland says so. [Deadline]
  • My homeboy J.J. Abrams talked about his new series Alcatraz and, as a bonus, he talked about his 3D follow-up to Star Trek. [THR, Collider]
  • Oh good. There’s another fashion competition reality show. We really need one of those — especially if it includes Jessica Simpson. [HitFix]
  • A Party Down movie? I am so down like syndrome. [THR]
  • Kathy Griffin gets her own talk show on Bravo. IT’S ABOUT DAMN TIME. [HitFix]
  • I’m pretty sure a Glee spinoff was NOT in the Mayan calendar. The end of the world is a much better option. [THR]
