Based on the trailer, Sassy Pants seems to be a movie hatched from the same hen that brought us Juno. It’s about Bethany (Ashley Rickards) an overachieving, yet melancholy girl with an uncertain future, an overbearing mother (played the magnanimous Anna Gunn from Breaking Bad), and her gay dad (Diedrich Bader) and his younger boyfriend (a very trashy looking Haley Joel Osment) — all provide the perfect storm for a dysfunctional, yet precious, indie movie that will be the “cool” thing to watch.
