Movie promo items (or any promo items for that matter) make me smile — especially when they are edible. So when I was given one of these clever “brownies” promoting the overlooked movie, High School, I was very pleased:

The movie is about an overachieving young man named Henry (Played by Matt Bush, who was also in Piranha 3DD. This boy has been busy and is slowly becoming one of those cool guys you’ll end up seeing in every cult movie before Hollywood poaches him) and his stoner friend Travis (Sean Marquette). After Henry gets stoned, it threatens his chances of becoming valedictorian. To solve this problem, the pair of them attempt to get the entire school high in order to deluge the mandatory drug test — and they do so via pot brownies with high-grade marijuana courtesy of the crazy ganja man, Psycho Ed (Adrien Brody).

As cool as it would have been to have this brownie imitate the intention of this film, it wouldn’t be legal. I thought that the brownie may do other things to us. Perhaps the studio was trying to pull a fast one on us and give us laxative brownies. Or maybe it had some sort of crazy ass pig bat virus like that Contagion bullcorn. But alas, it did not. It was quite delicious. I thought of it as a stoner Little Debbie brownie without the marijuana.
