The gritty found footage cop drama, End of Watch opened at the Toronto International Film Festival. Directed by David Ayer, the movie stars Michael Pena and Jake Gyllenhaal as two officers in the L.A.P.D. as they patrol the streets of south central Los Angeles and try to live a normal family life. Mr. Pena stars as Officer Mike Zavala and his wife Gabby is played by Natalie Martinez. I had the chance to sit down with the duo and talk about working with Ayer, improv, and how they became the perfect husband and wife team on camera. Unfortunately, my conversation with Michael Pena about his pivotal role as Burkey in the best TV show of all time, Felicity was off camera — but I did talk to him about it.
