After a day of meetings and running around like crazy, I only had the chance to watch two films today. One was Rewind This!, a documentary that explored the rise, fall, and the current resurgence of the VHS tape. I would really like to write a longer review/commentary of this movie AFTER the festival and when I have had more than two hours of sleep. Nonetheless, I will put in my brief two cents about it. The documentary may seem like a ridiculous argument for the VHS tape being a lost art, but if you watch it and take into consideration what the VHS tape has accomplished since it was invented, you’ll be looking at it in a totally different way — and you just might become a collector.
