about the finer dandy.

My name is Dino-Ray Ramos. I’m a Filipino boy that uprooted from Texas to San Francisco to become a writer. On occasion, I do like to be called a journalist, but for the most part I liked being referred to as a writer. It makes me feel literary and stuff.

This blog, as the title suggests, started off as a fashion blog. That was when I was the fashion columnist for the Oakland Tribune and the Bay Area News Group. Then I just stopped writing about fashion because I just didn’t want to write about it anymore (but once in a while, I’ll write something for the San Francisco Chronicle) so I decided to make this a destination for my irreverent and insightful take on high and low brow aspects of movies, television and popular culture (which has always took precedence in my life). In addition to feeding TheFinerDandy.com with “fine” content, he writes for AfterElton.com, 8Asians.com, and Hyphen Magazine.
