More than that, the odd acting couple are executive producers on the film. Phil Lord and Chris Miller (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs) are slated to direct and Michael Bacall (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) heads a team of writers for the screenplay. The OGs of “21 Jump Street” (counterclockwise from left: Johnny Depp, Holly Robinson Peete, Dustin Nguyen, Peter Deluise, Steven Williams) As much as I am growing tired of these remakes, adaptations, and, my personal fave, “re-imaginings,” I am actually curious about this. More than that, I am wondering who will fill the other roles. Here are my picks: Channing Tatum as Officer Tom Hanson: I am making a guess that he will be playing the charming heartthrob detective with just the right amount of edge that was once filled by Johnny Depp — but according to oh-so-reliable IMDb.com, some dude named Shiloh Fernandez is rumored to be Hanson. My vote is for Tatum and his fully-recovered penis. Jonah Hill as Officer Doug Penhall: Peter Deluise originally played Penhall who shared a nice bromance [...]

As much as I am growing tired of these remakes, adaptations, and, my personal fave, “re-imaginings,” I am actually curious about this. More than that, I am wondering who will fill the other roles. Here are my picks:

Channing Tatum as Officer Tom Hanson: I am making a guess that he will be playing the charming heartthrob detective with just the right amount of edge that was once filled by Johnny Depp — but according to oh-so-reliable IMDb.com, some dude named Shiloh Fernandez is rumored to be Hanson. My vote is for Tatum and his fully-recovered penis.

Jonah Hill as Officer Doug Penhall: Peter Deluise originally played Penhall who shared a nice bromance with Hanson. I can see this happening between Channing and Jonah. They can develop one of those annoying cutesy fused couple names like “Channah” or “Jonning” or “Chanjo.”

Zoe Saldana as Officer Judy Hoffs: Why not? She’s so hot right now. Might as well keep the momentum going. Maybe she can sing the theme song like Holly Robinson (who originally played Hoffs) did on the TV show.

Steven Yeun as Officer Harry Truman Ioki: He’s doing such a great job in The Walking Dead, why shouldn’t he fill in the Asian American role once held by Dustin Nguyen? Second choice would be Glee‘s Harry Shum Jr. — Ioki could totally be a awesome pop lockin’ detective.

Viola Davis as Captain Adam Fuller: Another woman in the mix wouldn’t hurt — especially in a leadership role. Steven Williams led these undercover hipster tattletales after Frederic Forrest‘s	groovy portrayal of Captain Richard Jenko bowed out after five episodes. Viola Davis could play a hard ass and whip these kids into shape. Plus, her acting chops would elevate the thespian level of the movie.

Richard Grieco as Officer Dennis Booker: Forget Johnny Depp, Holly Robinson Peete and the whole lot of them. Having Grieco make a cameo in the movie would be the awesomest.

Remember when Tom Ford had that super-secret fashion show in September? It was the one where big celebs like Beyonce and Lauren Hutton modeled his first self-titled women’s wear collection and only 5 people were invited to the show. Ford told Cathy Horyn of the New York Times that he had this top secret show and didn’t allow pictures because fashion had become overexposed in recent years because of Internet technology and a focus on celebrities. “I want fashion to be fun again, like it was in the ’60s,” he told Horyn. “You couldn’t wait to get the clothes and put them on, and I think we’ve lost that.” As soon as he said that bit about the Internet, the blogosphere blew up with news about the secret show — and didn’t he use celebs in his show? Nonetheless, we are now on the verge of the “big reveal” of this collection. Actually, we have seen pics of the collection and we’ve gotten a mouthful of news about his plans for his next movie, his guest editor stint for French Vogue, the false rumors of his H&M line (that was a funny one), and his kiss with classy/trashy photographer, Terry [...]

As soon as he said that bit about the Internet, the blogosphere blew up with news about the secret show — and didn’t he use celebs in his show?

Nonetheless, we are now on the verge of the “big reveal” of this collection. Actually, we have seen pics of the collection and we’ve gotten a mouthful of news about his plans for his next movie, his guest editor stint for French Vogue, the false rumors of his H&M line (that was a funny one), and his kiss with classy/trashy photographer, Terry Richardson on the set of the aforementioned Vogue shoot.

The shoot, by the way, looks like a touching story about hypersexualized, glamorous women who visit a ranch and do stuff to half naked guys — and there’s a Native American headdress involved (see picture above).

But this all pales in comparison to the dream I had about Mr. Ford a couple of months ago. I have been waiting to share this dream with the general public for a while, but I was waiting for the perfect moment.

This is that moment.

Follow the jump to read more.

Many dirty minds out there may expect this dream to be hypersexual. I mean, it is Tom Ford. Him and his unbuttoned scruff can make any male or female’s popsicle melt — but, if anything, this dream was more bromantic.

My dream happened shortly after my return from New York Fashion Week in September. The setting was San Francisco and it was daytime. I was walking to work like any normal day and all of a sudden an 18-wheeler that looked very similar to Optimus Prime slowly crept up on me — but I was not afraid. I just stared at the driver wondering what the hell he wanted. Lo and behold it was Tom Ford, dressed in his trademark tailored suit with a crisp white shirt and complimenting pocket square.

He took off his figure-8 Tom Ford sunglasses, flashed a smile and said, “Hey Dino, we missed you at the fashion show yesterday.”

I casually answered, “Sorry, I was kind of busy.”

“It’s OK,” he said.

“What are you doing in San Francisco?” I asked.

“I was handling some business here and I wanted to invite you to my exclusive accessory show later on this week,” he said.

“Oh,” I pondered. “I may be able to make it. I should be able to take a couple of days off of work. I’ll let you know.”

“Cool,” he said. “Hopefully I’ll see you there!”

“I’ll try,” I said. “I have to get to work — I’m late for a meeting.”

He looked at his watch, “Yeah, I have to get going too. I’ll see you later.”

“Later,” I said.

He drove off in his Optimus Prime 18-wheeler and I continued my walk to work.

What does this dream mean? Obviously, it’s a dream about our Texas connection — and our mutual adoration for Transformers.

This is even more helpful considering the holiday travel season. 1.) Wear sensible shoes that you can easily slip on and off like Crocs — because Crocs are really cool. Even more so when traveling. 2.) Wear clean underwear. Since they can see everything, it’s good to be prepared. 3.) Do some push-ups and sit-ups before entering that scanning machine. Your body will look freshly toned. 4.) This isn’t really a fashion tip, but you should moan and breathe heavily if you get a secondary pat down. 5.) Finally, ask for a print out of your body scan. Upon my next full body scan, I will utilize my print out for greeting cards appropriate for every occasion. Overall, let’s not get all defensive over this new protocol at airports. Let’s embrace it. We can all benefit off of a casual rub down. As this SNL skit suggests, a nice grope can ease travel jitters.

(AP Photo/Mark Humphrey) In a global sense, not many people can say they lived within blocks of AT&T Ballpark when the San Francisco Giants won the World Series. Unfortunately, the Giants didn’t win the Series at the stadium. They won it in Texas — but they still won it! And I was about to watch a screening of Due Date when it happened.
To my defense, I really enjoyed the movie.

As for game 3 — well — we’ll act like that didn’t happen. Game 4 was on Halloween, so I was handing out candy at my sister’s house while celebrating my nephew’s birthday (he and my other nephew were dressed as Batman and Robin — it was pure cuteness.)

It was inevitable that we were going to win the series, so I was girding my loins for the bedlam that was going to occur. As soon as I walked out of my screening, I was met with rowdy crowds, honking and very friendly high-fives. Here is my personal collection of tweets:

If anyone wants to watch the game and start a fight at McDonald’s on 3rd and Townsend after, let me know.

and…

HOLY SHIT! DOWNTOWN IS OUTTA CONTROL!

and…

I’m at the McDonald’s on 3rd and Townsend if anyone wants to meet me.

and…

You know why the #sfgiants won the World Series? Because I broke in my new YSL boots today.

Oh yeah — I forgot to mention I ended up buying those YSL boots I was on the hunt for. I ended up having to call the New York store and they were very helpful. They made my dreams come true.

But back to the matter at hand.

As I was walking home (in my YSL boots, mind you), the celebration was very joyous — especially as I got closer to my apartment. I didn’t mind all the celebrating or the crowds. It was a very good way for the citizens of our fine city to bond.

The one thing I don’t understand is why people start fires to celebrate. Is some moron just standing around waiting for the perfect moment to start a fire? Is it just some pyro maniac that is standing around, looking at his watch and then after a while thinks, “Well, it’s about 2 hours into the celebration, I think it’s time to start a fire!”

AP Photo/Noah Berger

AP Photo/Noah Berger

I really don’t understand the purpose of the fires in the streets — and the people walking through it? That confuses me even more. Perhaps in the next city-wide celebration of some event worthy of celebration, I will bring out a wind machine and just start simulating a hurricane in the streets. That’s fun, right?

Nonetheless, I can forgive the pointless walking-through-fire nonsense. It’s just a great time to live in San Francisco — even though Prop. 19 didn’t pass tonight.
