One more day and I get paid. I plan on blowing that pay at the Barneys Warehouse Sale. That is a very good goal to have. Plus, the summer semester is over and after grading a bunch of essays and handling the the soul-sucking experience of an accelerated session, I deserve a thing or two…or three…or four.

Even so, I think I need to have some sort of strategy. That said, on Friday, I am going to wear blinders and seek out the following things:

1.) A soft blazer, preferably John Varvatos.

2.) A pair of jeans – I’ve been eyeing a pair of April 77′s – but my legs are craving some severe dark denim.

3.) A Burberry trench coat. Life is not worth living without a trench coat.

4.) Psycho Bunny ties and possibly some Band of Outsiders ties – I didn’t see the latter when I went last, but I am enjoying those irreverent Ivy League Psycho Bunnies.

5.) Lanvin sneakers and/or Dior Homme space age looking high tops. I even saw a pair of Varvatos boots when I went last week. Actually, I saw tons of shoes that I would like.

6.) White button-down shirts – every man should have plenty of these on hand.

7.) Three words: Thom. Browne. Suit. I think my ankles need to be shown.

Come to think of it – forget this list. I’m just gonna buy whatever the hell I feel like buying. And I am ready to throw down and get what I want – by any means necessary.
