This new pic of Rob Lowe as JFK in Killing Kennedy is quite striking. It almost makes us forget about his face in Behind the Candelabra…but who am I kidding? No one can forget about that. [Indiewire]

Sandra Bullock is eyeing a role in the new Annie redux AND her name was Annie in both Speed movies. FREAKY, right?! [I Watch Stuff]

Will Smith kisses Jaden Smith in the most weird, uncomfortable way on Thai TV. Nice try Will. That still won’t distract us from how horrible After Earth was.
Spoiler alert for all you She’s All That fans out there: M. Night Shyamalan ghostwrote the movie. Please take a moment to collect yourself.
Ashton Kutcher‘s Steve Jobs biopic ggets a release date. Yup. He’s still trying to force feed us that movie. [THR]

Jamie Foxx gave us preview of what the voice of Electro will sound like in the Amazing Spider-man sequel.
Jon Chu is directing G.I. Joe 3. So I guess we could stop worrying about that now. [Screen Rant]

A sequel to The Purge is in development because if a third G.I. Joe movie is in the works, then it couldn’t be any worse than that right? [The Wrap]

A stage musical based Jackie Chan‘s life is in the works. Refer to my G.I. Joe comment above. [Film Drunk]

The results are mind blowing: It’s like watching your dad dance…with lots of crotch grabbing. It’s very fun to watch. A little uncomfortable, but fun nonetheless.

The Tony Awards were last night and I have come to the conclusion that it is probably the most tolerable of all award shows — mainly because about 75 percent of the people involved are not famous and it looks like we are watching a bunch of people sing songs, dance in costumes, and do all this stage stuff. It’s all alien and fascinating to watch for people who aren’t neck-deep in the Broadway world. It’s so much fun and not desperately robotic. It seems like everyone at the Tonys actually want to be there! You would be too if you got to see this performance of “It’s All Happening” from Bring It On: The Musical. This is seriously the most jammin’ song nominated from a musical this year because it is really “hip” and it has a rap! I’m sure none of it will hold up too well in the future, but I’m sure we’ll cope — much like that synth rock rendition of “Phantom of the Opera.” It’s painful to hear now, but back in the ’80s it probably was totally rad! Watch the Tony magic below:

The post Workout Song of the Week: ‘It’s All Happening’ from ‘Bring It On: The Musical’ appeared first on the finer dandy.

Brad Pitt made his final stop on his World War Z invasion tour on Friday night. After introducing his not-so-typical zombie movie to audiences in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Chicago, Austin, and Los Angeles he just casually wandered into an audience of over 400 people in San Francisco who were about to see a late-night preview screening of World War Z. He threw free T shirts into the crowd (although a T shirt cannon would have been more awesome) and welcomed the audience that was about to see him fight off some crazy crack-head zombies in the Marc Forster-directed movie. Some suspected he would be there, others had no idea, but in the end, he graced SF with his presence..on National Donut Day no less! If he gave everyone in the audience donuts, I would have not been able to contain myself. Watch the video (thanks to DreamyPiper for capturing the moment) and witness the magic that is Brad Pitt. He also reminds us that the words “barnstorming” and “blitzkrieging” exist and that we should use them more often. World War Z opens in theaters June 21.

The post Brad Pitt Surprises One More ‘World War Z’ Audience in San Francisco appeared first on the finer dandy.
