This is just a post to blatantly link to my new YouTube page which is filled with new movie trailers, select interviews and vintage videos of me performing with my high school band and choir.

I would like to refer to this trifecta of trailers “Haroldrumskin”:

A Very Harold & Kumar 3D Christmas: I saw a screening for this last night. There isn’t a better way to celebrate the holidays than with John Cho, Kal Penn, NPH, weed and lots of fun-filled inappropriate humor — all in 3D. (I have to admit, I did feel a little “altered” after leaving the theater).

The Rum Diary: While I was watching two Asian dudes get into some lewd hijinks, Johnny Depp made an appearance in Berkeley for a screening and a Q&A for his latest film The Rum Diary (based on the Hunter S. Thompson novel). I also read a little tweet that he dined at Prospect in San Francisco before he went to the screening. So if you go to the restaurant, you should request to sit where he sat. That way, it will be like your butt is touching Johnny Depp’s butt.

The Skin I Live In: Yeah, the trailer doesn’t really say anything — but if it said any more, then the movie would kind of be ruined. That said, if you like to get brutally entranced and enjoyably violated (as I do), then watch Pedro Almodovar‘s latest. If you don’t, then you can always watch Antonio Banderas in Puss in Boots

She was wrong. This was the most awesomEST trailer EVER to grace any computer screen. I may be late person to jump on his bandwagon this, but this YouTube homeboy goes by the handle of Tobuscus (I believe he’s an actor/viral video maker named Toby) and makes tons of chortling videos — but it’s his literal movie trailer revamps of current films that make me vomit LOLs. And when I say, “literal” I really mean literal. Just watch…

I just couldn’t decide which ones to post so watch the one he made for Eclipse after the jump.

I am so easily entertained.

Lucky for us, he’s back:

About halfway through his performance, it looked like he was getting a bit winded — but he pushed through. I see a great improvement in his passion and dedication for dance and the lip synching arts — but that doesn’t mean that I felt really uncomfortable while watching this.

His name is Lin Yu Chun and the homeboy can sing – but he looks like a Cabbage Patch Kid. Like Susan, he needs a bit of a makeover.

Then there’s this kid:

Sure, he’s lip syncing – but this definitely outdoes the other dude when it comes to performance and general effect.

Luckily a bunch of relatively unknown musicians from all over the world on YouTube banded together with the power of social networking and clever editing and sound mixing made a remake of their own – and it is ten times more tolerable. Led under Lisa Lavie, this version was more genuine and felt like it meant more. Even though I wasn’t big on remaking the original – I thought this one was pretty darn good:

P.S. There’s a group in there called Lucas Teague – my roommate’s cousin’s band. By the transitive property, I was a part of this musical arrangement and that makes me a musician.

The heavy panting and lip biting is Oscar-worthy.

Julia Stiles has never made me laugh in any of her movies. Well, there was her role in the Bourne series, but I don’t think that was supposed to make me laugh. Then there is that one scene in 10 Things I Hate About You where she recites that poem. Again, I don’t think that’s supposed to be funny. But I, along with my friend friend, Judith, stayed up until the wee hours of the morning trying to get perfect Stiles’s recital of the magical poem which won Heath Ledger’s (rest in peace) heart. Judi and I more than perfected her monologue. We embodied her role. We had every gesture, beat and throaty cry down to a tee.

But like I was saying, Miss Stiles has never made me LOL all over place – until this video. And I will tell you why:

1.) She is basically taking a stab at all those “celebrity” designers out there. You know, the ones that think they are a designer, but don’t even know how to thread a needle. The perfect example is Sheree from Real Housewives of Atlanta. She’s not a “celebrity” per se, but in her diluted, manish mind – she thinks she is a designer.

2.) She takes a stab at this whole eco-fashion trend.

3.) Two words: SWIFFER. TIE.

4.) Three more words: KLEENEX. BOX. SHOES.

4.) Shants. Nuff said.

5.) Even though she did make me laugh, I think the comedic film group The Vacationeers (Todd Berger, Kevin Brennan, Jeff Grace, and Blaise Miller) deserve props. They actually made her funny – especially with that broke-ass modeling.

6.) The awkward silence and camera staring at the end. I adore awkward silences. They are magical moments when everyone is all squirmy and conversationally impotent.

7.) I have to say it again: Shants.

Britney Spears did a cover of the ultimate femme relationship revenge anthem by Alanis Morisette, “You Oughta Know” in a recent concert in Greensboro.

I didn’t even know she was still touring. I kind of don’t care either. But apparently I care enough to post this video of her.

I wonder if her version was dedicated to Dave Coulier too.

…and P.S. Did I see a use of the FLOWBEE haircutting system in that trailer? I think I did!
